Suunto Vertical 2 combines endurance with performance. Its battery life delivers up to 65 hours in the most accurate dual-frequency GPS mode and up to 20 days in smartwatch mode. Beyond exceptional longevity, Vertical 2 is equipped with a newly designed optical heart rate sensor for more precise wrist-based measurements. A new processor and expanded memory ensure a faster, smoother interface and readiness for future updates.

Built for outdoor navigation

Vertical 2 offers free offline maps covering both the watch and the Suunto app, including contour lines, routes, and terrain features for precise route planning and navigation. Suunto ClimbGuidance helps users tackle hills or mountains with real-time altitude profiles, color-coded segments, and advance notifications of climbs and descents. This feature provides detailed slope, distance, and altitude change information, elevating both route planning and on-the-ground navigation.

The design of Vertical 2 is deeply informed by user needs—perfectly suited for extreme expeditions and everyday training alike. For example, the quick-start navigation function lets users change routes without interrupting activity tracking while on the move.

Sharp AMOLED display and rugged build

Vertical 2 features a bright 1.5” AMOLED screen with 466x466 resolution, delivering superb visibility even in direct sunlight to keep maps and data crystal clear. The rugged design is available in stainless steel or titanium, built for durability and long-term outdoor use. Three side buttons make for easy operation in any weather, even when wearing gloves.

Adding practicality for outdoor use, Vertical’s built-in LED flashlight offers adjustable brightness, night vision red mode, and safety features (including SOS and pulse mode)—essential lighting for tents, trails, or emergencies.
